Mamachee International Dance Company

Mamachee International Dance Company was established to promote diverse culture and dances of the world to celebrate the beauty of diversity. It is through cultural exchange that we can foster interest and sympathy for other cultures.

Mamachee International Dance Company’s goal is to open the doors of people from differing cultures of the world and assist them in discovering aspects of other people’s culture. The arts of a culture are a window to the culture itself and allows for people to understand social characteristics and behavior. It enables us to not only tolerate a culture but also to eliminate prejudices and create friendship, understanding and sympathy among people. Our intention is also to demonstrate that all the cultures blended together can only represent a beautiful world living in harmony and that unity in diversity is possible. We are all different; however it is these differences that make us rich. For that reason, Mamachee is promoting unity in diversity with multicultural dances such as African, Salsa, Belly-dance, Hip-Hop, Modern, Caribbean...representing various cultures of the world.

Mamachee is also animated by the will to explore social issues through the arts with dramatic dances that examine problems such as one-sidedness, racism, domestic violence, poverty, intolerance, war, and lack of education.

The interaction with the audience help to find positive solutions to these world’s largest flails: unity, equality, justice, brotherhood, generosity,help...Every performance opens a dialog and raises questions about the situation of the world in order to  empower people to turn attitudes of hostility and ignorance to kindness and understanding. Our intention is to raise awareness of social issues and to inspire the desire to work toward social change.

Mamachee performs at various festivals, events, theatres, schools, concerts, shows, hospitals, and rest-homes.
