Mamachee Humanitarian Projects

Mamachee’s primary goal is to encourage youth to develop their capacities through art and dance. However, Mamachee also endeavors to raise the awareness of children’s education as the symbol of humanity’s future. Thus the aim is to give opportunities to homeless or disadvantaged  children to express themselves through art and dance in order to develop the awareness of work and the importance of developing skills to complete a project.

 

We strive to expose them to an artistic universe, to distract them from their daily lives and raise them to different horizons such as: the importance of work, respect, love, happiness, joy and friendship.

 

The idea is also to give the youth the opportunity to express themselves through dance by presenting an artistic work of which they themselves are members; and give them the chance to prove that the energy of youth is the bearer of hope for humanity’s future and that it is possible to unify the world through dance.

 

Mamachee also helps the children and youth of Niger (West Africa) and various countries in different field such as:

 

 

Education

 

Mamachee is also trying to help the African youth and children to learn skills, gain knowledge and techniques that will ensure them a brighter future. Our fundraisers helps to send various children to school and obtain degrees and an education. Mamachee is not only focusing on academic values, but also on moral values like love, patience, generosity, unity, cooperation, and honesty. We strongly believe in this quotation: “ Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.” (Baha'u'llah, founder of Baha'i Faith). This is why, it is important for us to develop their humane capacities as well as the academic ones. The goal is to teach them knowledge that they will use themselves later in the future to develop their social and professional lives, and give the best of their capacities for a greater future. It is also our goal to develop their desire to serve their communities through various projects such as:

  • Tutoring in French and in academic disciplines for kids with little education.

  • Various educational training in moral and spiritual values through arts and exercises.

  • Training in arts: dance, theatre, drawing and singing with professionals

  • Projects for the service of the community: environmental projects, help in hospitals and free clinics...

  • Financial aid to send children to school and get an education

Material Aids

 

Mamachee is also conscious that some populations in the village need strong material support. Especially countries with high levels of poverty, political problems and coming out of recent wars. Mamachee also sends clothes, soap, food, school supplies to those populations in strong need. Mamachee also raises money to help various economic or humanitarian projects and financially supports various other organizations.

Various material actions we took:

  • Niger (West Africa) 2004: Donation of Basket balls for various nigerian schools ( Enoch Olinga High school,Alliance elementary school,Village SOS school)

  • Niger (West Africa) 2006: Help in hospitals, material aid for homeless orphans.

  • New York,July 5th 2007: House Dance conference,benefiting Mamachee organization (dance performances:fundraiser for children in Niger) Organized by Brian Green.

  • New York,2008: T-shirt selling,fundraiser for children in Niger

  • Ivory Coast, april 2009: Collect of clothes for population in Ivory Coast devastated by the recent war. All the clothes donations as been sent to the village of Danane in Ivory Coast (West Africa) for population in need.

  • New York,winter 2009: Donation of warm clothes to The Salvation Army for homeless people in New York.

  • Haiti ,March 22nd 2010: T-shirt selling,fundraiser for the Haitian earthquake All the profits has been sent to the Haitian children via UNICEF organization who takes care of chilren in the world with material aid and medical aid.

Mamachee DanceFestival Project in Niger:

 

Mamachee will manifest itself as a dance festival with a dance contest, as well as a campaign to raise consciousness on the priority of education for children. This festival will be four amazing days with dance and art workshops for homeless children hosted by professional dancers and drawing teachers. Children will have the opportunity to present their works at the end of the festival. In addition, the young dancers from Niger will contribute to this initiative with a dance contest. Part of the proceeds will be paid to the associations that protect homeless children.
